CHINESE STORIES: Clever mouse & diligent ox
The world's first AIGC animated series on Chinese civilization, CHINESE STORIES, has launched its twelfth zodiac episode—Clever mouse and diligent ox. This episode decodes the zodiac's secrets through legend: during a race organized by the Jade Emperor, the little mouse takes advantage of the ox's strength to leap ahead and win, establishing the saying that people born in the Year of the Rat are "clever and agile." The "mouse playing with grapes" totem further symbolizes its strong reproductive power, embodying the wish for "many children and much happiness."
The ox, on the other hand, is punished for misinterpreting a divine decree—the Jade Emperor commands that "one meal should be eaten three times a day," but it is mistakenly conveyed as "three meals should be eaten once a day." Consequently, the ox is doomed to plow for eternity, shaping the character of those born in the Year of the Ox as "diligent and reliable."
The entire episode is available in a trilingual version on the DotDotNews APP, showcasing how animal legends condense into millennia of wisdom.
